Part #2: Metro Manila, Philippines
Day #3: 22nd June 2015
My first day at work. Spent 10 hours in the office. For lunch, I ate at some pancake place with my colleague. I ordered the spaghetti bolognese. It was alright. Nothing fantastic. After work, it was home. I was reminded repeatedly by my brother to not go out alone so I didn't. Throughout this trip I didn't get to do much sightseeing because my brother works from 4PM-2AM. If I could go out on my own, I probably would roam around the city and see what they have to offer. But yeah, unfortunately I'm a girl and it is deemed unsafe to go out on my own.
Day #4: 23rd June 2015
It was my brother's day off. Was looking forward to leave work ASAP because on Sunday he said he would watch Jurassic World in 4Dx with me. However, that excitement just went dead when he told me that he was out drinking with his colleagues and that his colleagues didn't want to watch Jurassic World in 4Dx. Seriously, what the heck man?! I could careless about what his colleagues want to do with their life but a promise is a promise and I want to watch Jurassic World in 4Dx badly. Unfortunately, it didn't happened. Went to TGIF to meet him and his colleagues. After TGIF, went to eat steamboat, which was highly recommended by his colleague but didn't like it. Never like steamboat anyways. It was one of those f#cking miserable day. And it got worst when I found out that it was the cinema's last day showing Jurassic World in 4Dx. #$%^%$#@#$%@#$%^&^%
Day #5: 24th June 2015
Finished work at 6PM. Didn't do much after work aside from going to KFC for dinner. I still prefer Malaysia's Hot & Spicy chicken from KFC. Watched Orphan Black Season 2 till I fell asleep midway. Currently Orphan Black is on Season 3 already but I've fallen behind on all the series that I once watched.
I thoroughly enjoy Orphan Black. I think Tatiana Maslany is an amazing actress. Just with this one series alone, she is able to showcase her ability in playing different characters. I'm not sure how she does it but I'm just beyond amazed. Initially I thought she has a twin sister but nah..it is all her. One individual reprising the role of four to five different characters at once.
Day #6: 25th June 2015
Went home around 7PM because my colleague and I decide to buy takeaways before going home. We had McDonald's. Me, I had the McRib again. When I was just about to continue watching Orphan Black Season 2, I received a phone call from my godfather asking me if I want to go out. I couldn't possibly say no despite how exhausted I was from work. I mean, I have been wanting to go out since I arrived so yes! I quickly jump out from bed to change and waited for him at the lobby.
He brought me to one of the casino in Manila. It's called Solaire. Down the road from Solaire is City of Dreams. My godfather made me play the slot machine. Slot machine is one of those game that I highly discourage people to play. To me, it is a game of pure luck. If I had to choose I probably would have played Baccarat or Texas Hold'em Bonus Poker. At the end of the day, we won Php3,000. We could have won more if he didn't play recklessly but I'm still happy that we won.
Day #7: 26th June 2015
After work, I was supposed to head out for dinner with my colleague but eventually I didn't had anything for dinner and yes I went to bed with an empty stomach. My colleague said to wait for the jam to subside and he was still unsure of what to eat, so he was googling for places to eat. However by the time the jam starts to subside it was already close to 11PM. Most places were closed then. And eventually he went to his room. Sure he didn't need dinner because he had already bought takeaway from the office. Myself on the other hand was starving but there were no deliveries anymore. So I decided to shower and watch Orphan Black until I dose off.
Day #8: 27th June 2015
It's finally Saturday. Woke up from the bell. I thought it was my godfather but it was just the maid coming to clean the apartment. Went for brunch with my colleague at an all-you-can-eat place in Greenbelt. I don't know what to say about it except I was stuffed. After brunch, we went to buy the Michelle's banana chips and popcorn. Right after that we had to go home because our paper bags were tearing!
As soon as I packed the banana chips and popcorn that I bought, off I went. There was so much to see and I'm not going to waste my day staying at home! It was after all my last day too. I went to SM Mall Aura. Did a little bit of shopping while waiting for Jurassic World in IMAX 3D to start.
When I saw this sweatshirt at Topshop, I immediately check the size. It was the last pair there and I was so happy that it was my size. I've been searching high and low for this one. The online store has ran out for my size. The only bummer was that they didn't have the white color Adidas shoes. They had the cracked silver but I want the white one. Can't seem to find it anymore, especially in my size. *pouts*
I then proceed to shop for souvenirs, bought six keychains and t-shirts for myself and my little niece, who's not that little anymore. She speaks a lot now. It's like there is no end to her sentences.
Then it was time for Jurassic World! I honestly wish I got to watch it in 4Dx though. Still hating my brother for pulling out last minute just so he can drink with his colleagues. With that said, I'm still grateful that I get to watch it in IMAX. It was a great show. Great storyline. In my opinion, it wasn't as good as the first but it definitely beats the second and third. Chris Pratt wasn't as witty as he was in Guardian of the Galaxy but he definitely has his charms in Jurassic World. Bryce Howard was as equally as amazing. I wouldn't mind watching this movie on repeat.

And I got myself the Terminator Genisys tumbler! I just had too. The Jurassic World tumbler was very ordinary so I went with Terminator tumbler. Love it. One thing for sure though, you can't get it in Malaysia.
And one thing I forgot to add, there were no subtitles for the movie. I don't know about you but I find that to be a great thing. I hate subtitles especially for English movie.
After the movie, I went dinner with daddy. He took me to City of Dreams because I've been wanting to go there. Not for the casino but just for Dreamplay by Dreamwork studio. However, that was a disappointment though because by the time we finish our dinner, it was 9.40PM. So I only manage to go to their gift/ souvenirs store, which had nothing I wanted.
And not to mention, my iPhone 6 Plus camera sucks majorly. It wouldn't focus anymore. I don't know what the heck happened to it but the camera decided to die at a very bad timing. Just look at how ugly the picture is. Jez! I picked the iPhone 6 Plus over the 6 was because the camera was supposedly better but look at this. Just for your information, my iPhone is roughly six months old only. I need to get it fix before I leave for Taipei around August.
Day #9: 28th June 2015
Had only one hour of sleep before catching my 6.50AM flight because my brother dragged me to join him for supper at McDonald at 2AM. Went home around 3AM and had to wake up at 4AM to get ready and do last minute packing. Left the apartment at 4.50AM. There wasn't any traffic but damn the check-in line was extremely long.
I slept throughout the flight, except for when there was turbulence, where it felt like we were about to crash and when the stewardess was serving breakfast for my first flight to KL and lunch for the connecting flight back to Miri. The landing for both flights were terrible. I've never experience such a bad landing before flying with AirAsia. If I had a choice, I wouldn't fly with MAS ever again but because the company books it, my opinion is irrelevant.
That was about it for my one week work trip in Manila.
