Movie Review: Pitch Perfect 2

If you've not watched Pitch Perfect 2 and do not want any spoilers, this review isn't for you.

I was waiting patiently for this movie after watching the first one, which was a ca-awesome! But I have to admit that I was a little disappointed with it. Maybe I was expecting a lot or maybe it really didn't live up to how great the first one was.

My biggest disappointment for this movie was really the song choices. I think they could have picked better songs. I mean, there are after all many songs to select from, aren't there not? But I love the scene where they were at a camp and sitting in circle discussing about their future prospect while making s'mores, and Chloe started singing Cups then the entire Bellas sang along. Love, love, love that scene!

The acting on the other hand was great! I was laughing hysterically for most scenes. Rebel Wilson is truly one of the finest comedian actress in the business today. However, I was kind of left hanging at the scene where Fat Amy was singing while paddling a boat towards Bumper and the moment she reaches to where he was standing, they sang to each other...and cut - it was already the next scene where Beca and Emily were in the studio working on a track together that Emily has written. I don't know if it is a country regulation thingy or it is the same worldwide but what the heck man?! Why cut at such an awkward moment?

Overall, I had a great laugh but was left thoroughly disappointed.
