Adulthood

You know you've entered adulthood when you start making big commitments like buying yourself a car. I didn't have to choose because I knew then and there that I want a Honda Jazz. It was love at first sight for me. I mean, if I have the means, Ford Mustang would be my first pick, and Jeep Wrangler would be my second. However since I don't have that kind of means, Honda Jazz is what I really, really, really want.

I've been looking at the first picture for months, probably a year even but it's not until about nearly two years later where I scored myself a job that pays me well enough to afford one. Now I'm one happy owner of a Honda Jazz 1.5L V and let's pray that I do not by any means lose my job alright? LOL! But I wouldn't have had it if it wasn't for my bighearted godfather (the man in the picture above). Well let's just say that most beautiful and wonderful things wouldn't have happened in my life if it wasn't for him. He's the sole reason I have so much to thank for and be grateful of.

I bought the V specs despite my brother telling me otherwise for many reasons but the main one being the touchscreen panels, not only for the player but air-condition controls too. I have a bad habit for always picking the highest specs. I feel it's more value added but this is arguable. It may not be with this case, or could just possibly be.

My car is nothing compared to the first photo, although I very much wish it is exactly like the first picture. That one has the Mugen RS body kit on, which in Malaysia, you would have to basically modify it yourself. Honda Malaysia only sells Modulo and Mugen body kit and not the Mugen RS body kit, unfortunately. My brother asked me to fix the Mugen body kit but well, I like the RS body kit more so I'll be fixing that probably by the end of this year or early next year. Girl has to save money.

Despite the fact that my car doesn't look anything like the first picture and looks like the above picture, I'm still very much in love with it. It is beautiful with or without body kit. Body kit just adds edginess to the already beautiful car. I'm still over the moon and I can't believe I own a car. Never have I ever picture this day happening. It's the most precious and valuable item I'd ever have until I buy myself a house.

In the States or most Western and European countries, people get to lease a car but you can't do that here in Malaysia, or at least I'm not aware of. You could rent a car daily, weekly or monthly but not leasing it for years. It'd be amazing if Malaysia ever introduces such plan because then everyone could at least have a car to move about. In Malaysia, you have to buy a car, cash or by loan from a bank with an interest rate of not less than 2.6% and up to 9 years, if I'm not mistaken.

Everything is falling into places and I couldn't be anymore happier than I already am. With every ending comes a new beginning. I can't express or tell you how much I'm grateful of because I choose to be strong even when I had every reason to just give up. Just remember that after every storm, comes a beautiful sunshine and every dark night comes a beautiful daylight.
