A Kickstarter Campaign: Chineasy by ShaoLan

This is one Kickstarter campaign that nobody should miss unless you're already able to read and write in Chinese.

I, myself, unfortunately can't read nor write in Chinese. However, I'm able to understand the language when a person is speaking it. I'm hopeless when it comes to speaking because I, literally am just bad at pronunciation and it doesn't matter what language it is. By that I mean, English too. It's like I'm better off being dumb.

I've been wanting to learn to read and write in Chinese but Chinese is not like English or Bahasa Melayu for that matter. It has thousands and thousands of characters and I just find it almost impossible to memorized it all. I have a brain capacity of like probably 1GB? I'm just kidding but yeah I'm just not good at memorizing things.

Why do I think Chineasy would help?

First and foremost, they sort of in a way make it as easy as a baby learning his/ her first letter/ word. Like A is for Apple, B is for Banana and so forth. I say like baby learning his/ her first letter/ word because it comes with illustration too.

Secondly, I think it is easier for a person to learn when there's an illustration involve. Sometimes, we tend to forget what we learned just by looking at a dead character but when there's an illustration we tend to remember it and so when we see the dead character the next time, we sort of remember the illustration and thus bam! we know what that character stands for or its meaning (or at least, that's how my brain functions).

The best part of it all is that this campaign has exceed its minimum goal of £75,000 therefore, no matter how much or little you pledge, you'll be sure to receive what you had pledged for.

I'd definitely suggest for you to pledge £25 and above, if you want to learn Chinese. However, if you already can read, write, speak and listen Chinese, then you can go for the £1 and above, just to help out. For me, I pledged £60 for the eBook, standard book, and flashcards. For International pledges, you have to add an additional £5 - £10 for shipping depending on what you pledge for.

So if you're still unsure on whether you want to pledge for this, head to their Kickstarter Campaign to check out what is it all about, or you could head over to their website to view a few samples that they've done - like how to go from building blocks to compounds and then to phrases. Then while you're at it, do like them on Facebook as they share new building blocks, compounds and phrases daily.

This is definitely one campaign that nobody should miss!!!
