Let's Talk About: OWNDAYS

Have you heard of OWNDAYS?
Prior to their opening at Saigon Centre, I've not heard of them before. I only came across this brand because I was browsing through Saigon Centre's Store Directory. I did not want to risk going to a mall that had no brands that would have interest me like SC Vivocity Mall at District 7. I learned a valuable lesson by going there

Saigon Centre houses many leading brands from high end to street ways but what sparks my interest to go there were:
1. It was their Grand Opening!!!

2. Takashimaya!

3. Topshop - however, this was an utter disappointment because they're not open until 1st September 2016, same goes with Miss Selfridge.

4. TWG Tea Boutique - another disappointment if you're going there for their Macarons because there were none for sell. I guess that's why it is called "Tea Boutique" for a reason? Silly me

5. Royce - heaven! They had a Buy 2 Free 1 promotion going on and one box of Nama Chocolate is selling for VND350,000 (RM63.53). With this promotion one box would only cost VND233,334 (RM42.35)! The accountant in me yells "buy, buY, bUY, BUY!" LOL.

6. Owndays - after browsing through their website the night before, it sparks my interest.

What makes it interesting to me is the "20 minutes processing time". If you ever went to an optical shop to make glasses you would know that the typical processing time is 3-5 working days for normal lenses and 1-2 weeks for the more advanced type of lenses such as Progressive lens, Transition lens, etc.

Secondly was the simple price. The price listed is basically what you would only need to pay. There is an additional fee of VND1,500,000 (RM272.27), only if you choose Progressive lenses, Transition lenses, Colour lenses, and PC lenses. Otherwise, you would just have to pay the price that you see, which is between VND980,000 (RM177.89) to VND2,980,000 (RM540.92) for a normal High Index Aspheric lenses.

Thirdly, it is cheap as f#ck considering the quality - they have assorted glasses and sunglasses made with different materials, ranging from plastic to resin to metal to celluloid to titanium to stainless steel. Additionally, the same pair of glasses (or at least design wise) selling at Owndays is so much cheaper as compared to other brands. Case in point:

The glasses on the left is from Owndays, while the one on the right is from Toms X Keith Haring

I highly recommend checking out this store.
